Does mom have a say, here?

There are few things that bring greater joy than rifling through the brazen comments left on our Web site. For example, Thursday's thrilling soccer match between Farmington and Piedra Vista received the typical clutter: claims of favoritism, a woeful disregard for the English language and name calling.

My favorite arrived via a concerned commenter who believes we give Farmington High too much attention. "I've notice that the only time PV Boys have been on the cover of the daily times sports page is when you've had something bad to say about the boys or when they lost.. Which is like 4 maybe 5 times now..(How Many Have FHS Lost??) And we have had more home games then any other team.. In the the district!!"

This person doesn't live in town, but "My mother gets your paper daily and you know.. Just because Farmington High School has FARMINGTON in the name does not mean they're the best and only team to report on!! You know if thats how you feel then We'll just cancel her account!!"

I'm sure the mom is thrilled one of her children is on the brink of canceling her subscription.

There's more ...

Another commenter disputed the idea that we favor Farmington, instead pointing out that "As far as the biased coverage, my opionion is the opposite. FHS gets the shaft from DT even when they win! I also hear Aztec complain about the negative coverage or lack of from the DT, so I guess it depends on what school you are cheering for."

Ya think?

By the way, I think my spellcheck just exploded.

I will now gouge my eyes out with a corndog.
