Christie to coach PV girls

Big news out of Piedra Vista this afternoon. Mike Christie will replace girls basketball coach Lee Marett, who resigned last week. This move has been speculated about for a while, given Christie's coaching resume. And it became official last week. Mike said he didn't think twice when AD Tom Shields asked him if he'd be interested in taking over for Marett.

Christie last coached in 2005-06, when he guided the Kirtland Central girls.

Also big news coming off the AP wire, though it's a day old, which is about par for the course for the Associated Press. Regardless, Lance Armstrong will ride in the 2009 Tour de France. Here's a breakdown of Lance's marvelous bike-riding career.
