Tuesday night NHSFR results
The first go is inching to a close. One performance left, Wednesday at 9 a.m., and then it's on to the second go-round.
I had a chance to watch cutting for the first time tonight. Much different than the other events, with minimal action but plenty of thinking. A new benchmark was set Tuesday, with Oklahoma's Kelsey Turner recording a score of 220 to take over first place. Raley Radomske, who won a national title in the event as a freshman in 2006, posted a 217 for second place in the performance and third overall.
I've seen a lot of T-shirts that say "This ain't my first rodeo." I'd like to get one that says "This is my first rodeo." That sounded much funnier in my head. Not so much on the screen, but whatever.
That's all I got. It's pushing past 2 a.m., and another rodeo beckons in seven hours.
