Roughnecks Make Playoffs

The 4 Corners Roughnecks will play the New Mexico Titans next week in the first round of the Southwest Football Conference playoffs.

The El Paso Brawlers, who beat the Roughnecks in last year's SWFC championship game, forfeited Saturday's game with the Roughnecks, sacrificing their playoff eligibility. Teams lose eligibility if they forfeit two or more games. The Roughnecks also forfeited their road game with the Brawlers after electing not to make the trip to open the season.

The Roughnecks lost 17-0 to the Titans on May 31. The winner will play the New Mexico Crush for the SWFC title.

The Roughnecks split with the Crush this season, losing 7-6 on the road and winning 27-23 at The Hutch.
