Oklahoma City Thunder Dancer to Coach at FHS

Current Oklahoma City Thunder Girl Brittany Wade is the new 'Kelly Greens' dance coach at Farmington High School. You can view her NBA dance team pictures here.

Wade brings a ton of experience and is moving to Farmington to marry her fiancé (sorry guys), who works locally for Conoco Phillips.

She sounds like an energetic girl and seemed anxious to find out what Farmington's all about. She originally planned to move here in March, but when that fell through and she took the job with the Scorpions, she moved her wedding to Labor Day weekend and will move here six months sooner.

I guess you could say she lives her life a quarter mile at a time.

"It's like, so fast, so furious, you know?" Wade said.

Wade recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where she danced for four years. She's also a fifth-year head instructor for Universal Dance Association.

Farmington athletic director Rocky Moore called me and said he was very excited about her credentials and the interest he thinks she'll create for the school's dance team.

Asked what she'd say in defense of Oklahoma City, which has been scorned by some including ESPN's Bill Simmons for their part in stripping Seattle of the Supersonics, Wade retorted that at least Oklahoma City sells their games out.

Stay true and keep pounding,
Christopher
