Without further ado, let's meet the bloggers.
• Levi Dwinell, a product of Piedra Vista High School, is playing with the host team, the Farmington Cardinals. Levi is a top-flight pitcher and infielder who is headed to Tampa, Fla., in the fall to further his baseball career. He's a local guy who has long dreamed of representing the Four Corners at one of the best amateur tournaments on the planet.
• Chris Coleman, who's playing with the Arizona Firebirds, hails from Farmington. A pitcher/outfielder, Coleman helped Farmington High capture its fourth state championship in as many seasons this spring before moving to Phoenix for the summer. Coleman is fighting a nagging wrist injury this week, but hopes to help the Firebirds reprise a little 2006 magic in his hometown.
We'd like to thank the ballplayers for taking time out of their hectic schedules to provide a first-hand account of the highs and lows that pervade the Connie Mack World Series. We'd like to extend a "good luck, fellas," as well.
And to the readers: enjoy.

So... with the tournament officially underway, the excitement is growing. We will be playing tonight at 8, and im not gonna lie, i am pretty nervous. I, as well as my team have been waiting for this day for a little over 2 and a half weeks. And its finally here! We have been practicing hard, in hopes of putting on a great show. We will be hitting today at noon, and again at 5 to stay in game mode all day. Today is a big day, a day that my team and i have been waiting for ever since we started playing baseball in this town.
Finally, its here. I have been going to the connie mack world series ever since i can remember, and now im finally playing in it. im really looking forward to our first game 2marro, as well as a win. as you know, a farmington team has not won a game in 4 years, so hopefully we can change that soon. I, as well as my teammates, are looking forward to the next few days, and are hoping for the best.
